Est. 1921
Chanel released No. 5 in 1921 and effectively created the modern fragrance industry. Composed by Ernest Beaux as a gift to Coco Chanel — who reputedly chose the fifth sample on the table — No. 5 was the first major perfume to lead with synthetic aldehydes, and it has remained in continuous production for over a century. Few luxury objects have stayed as culturally relevant for as long.
K Chris stocks the full Chanel fragrance line including the women's pillars (No. 5, Coco Mademoiselle, Chance, No. 19, Gabrielle, Allure) and the men's range (Bleu de Chanel, Allure Homme Sport, Égoïste, Antaeus). Chanel Les Exclusifs — the niche line sold only at Chanel boutiques — appears here when stock allows.
If you're new to the house, Coco Mademoiselle is the modern entry point for women — patchouli, rose, and orange leading into a fresh-yet-warm signature. For men, Bleu de Chanel is the workhorse: a clean, slightly woody composition that wears well from morning meetings through evening dinners.
